A few days ago we made the decision to head south. Chantal and Conny decided a short stay at Chobe Safari Lodge was how they wished to end the trip.

Comms were difficult with no email or cellphone. The satellite phone produced an answer that they were full, but we were welcome to keep trying. Our reservations lady delivered and we have booked in for two nights. Like that past advert for some or other cigarette company "when you are tired of London, you are tired of life". So it is with Chobe. It never gets boring and always there is the excitement of being in a special place.

We did the usual early morning game drive and saw the same lions we saw some weeks ago.

The evening river cruise is booked and there is nothing more relaxing than that.

Tomorrow we start the journey to Cape Town.

The sunset pic from our afternoon boat cruise seems appropriate to end the first phase of the trip
